Peace in the Storm

Matthew 4

Peace is not the absence of war or confrontation. Peace is what we have internally that does not shake us in storms. Jesus spoke peace over storms and as a result we have the ability to have peace in storms. PRAY: that the mantle of peace falls upon you today. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Nothing will shake you or break you. Will keep your hands up and your mouth open and your heart on the things of God.

God sees your labor and sacrifice and He will reward you for all of your sacrifice.

Jesus’ first spiritual formation in His life was consecration (fasting and praying), not working miracles or doing signs or exploits. The first thing you see Jesus doing is praying and then He is baptized by John and the Spirit of God rests on Him and the Father affirms that He is His son in whom He is well pleased. The Spirit of God then leads him into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. We have not a high priest that is not insensitive to our infirmities. He has been tempted in every point as we have yet without sin. We have the ability to be victorious over the enemy also because of Jesus.

The fight and warfare was so significant and crucial that the angels ministered to Him to mend His wounds. Jesus is not fighting with demons or witches or rulers of darkness. Jesus is in a fight with the devil himself. The devil realizes that after he could not do anything with Jesus he leaves him.

Matthew 4:23

Goes into all the region of Galilee preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom

When Jesus comes out of consecration. The devil is a terrorist. Tries to do everything to destroy us. Jesus came out from fighting to preaching. Consecration empowers you to teach/preach/proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why did Jesus go straight out of the wilderness and start preaching and teaching? When you go through a fight like that with the enemy, you can’t just keep your mouth shut. You must come out and testify of God’s goodness. The only reason why God brought you out is so you can shout it out. Shame on you if God has delivered you and you have not had the anointing/ability/gall to share your testimony with somebody. If God is going to bring you out, you’ve got to shout it out! When God brings you out of a fight like that, He wants you to testify.

I will bless the Lord at all times and His praise shall be continually be in my mouth.

Rev 12:11 We overcome by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimony out of our mouth. My overcoming is in my testimony.

Jesus had been in a fight, and when he came out victorious He came out teaching/preaching the kingdom of God and what God had done for Him. God has called you to SAY something. Let the redeemed of the Lord SAY SO! If you have been bought back/purchased by the Holy Spirit through the blood of Jesus Christ you ought to say something.

The story of the $10,000 talking chicken that a man bought as a pet to stay with his family while he was away in the army. But times got hard when he was away and his family ate it. When he got back home he was looking for his chicken and was upset because his family ate it. He cried because the chicken was a $10,000 talking chicken. And his grandmother responded ‘well if the chicken could talk then he should have said something before I dropped him in the grease!’

Jesus paid more for us with His blood than the man paid for the chicken. Our redemption/life cost more than $10,000. It cost us the life of Jesus Christ. If we were valued that much to redeem us, then why don’t we open our mouths and start telling people of the goodness of Jesus. When He brings us out of the fire, we need to start telling people about the God of the fire that brought us out.

V23 And He began to heal all manners of sicknesses and disease. Jesus could not have done that if He had not fulfilled his consecration. Because consecration takes you and empties you out of your flesh and fills you with the power and anointing of God. When Jesus walked through His fasting and praying period, God was emptying out his flesh and pouring into Him power and anointing into the life of Jesus. Not only did Jesus have power and authority and power over Himself, but now He has power/authority/power over other people.

Christ in us is the hope of Glory. 2 Peter 1:3 For His divine power has been bestowed on us. We have the very nature of God in us. Whatever power that was in Jesus, is in us. If Jesus is a healer, then healing is in us. If Jesus is a deliver, then we can produce deliverance in the earth. We can do what Jesus did as long as our life is lined up with Him. Jesus said that I will send the Holy Spirit to live in you and you will be able to do even greater things than I did while on the earth.

Start believing God for the healing of sick people. Go to the hospital. Pray for people on your job. What you couldn’t do before consecration you will be able to do now. We can lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. The power of death and life is in our tongue. He has given us power to tread over serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. God has given us the power and the authority to believe that the sick shall be healed. By His stripes we are already healed! Trust and elevate your faith and believe God for somebody’s healing. God says if we call on His name He will make things turn around on that person’s behalf. God has given Jesus a name above every name that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow and every tongue should confess that Jesus is Lord so every name of sickness and disease must bow.
